System (1) and method for interconnecting components (C1, C2) in a vehicle body structure (S), and especially for interconnecting fibre-reinforced composite components in a fuselage structure (F) of an aircraft (A). The system (1) comprises: a first adapter member (10) having a first mating portion (11) configured to substantially conform with a profile (P1) of a first component (C1) of the structure (S) in more than one plane, and a first attachment portion (13) connected to the first mating portion (11); a second adapter member (20) having a second mating portion (21) configured to substantially conform with a profile (P2) of a second component (C2) of the structure (S) in more than one plane, and a second attachment portion (23) connected to the second mating portion (21); and a connector member (30) to securely interconnect the first and second attachment portions (13, 23) of the first and second adapter members (10, 20). |
