<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To speed up processing in a distributed database system by selecting a data transmission processing method matching system conditions. <P>SOLUTION: A query delivery part 242 of a router 24 supplies a received database processing request to a corresponding storage processing part. An answer reception part 244 acquires processing result data from the storage processing part. An aggregation execution part 245 calculates costs of transmitting the processing result data acquired from the storage processing part to the processing request source, and determines whether or not to aggregate the processing result data in accordance with the cost calculations. If determining to perform aggregation, the aggregation execution part 245 aggregates the processing result data for transmission to the request source via a data transmission part 246.
