Method for manufacturing a multijunction photovoltaic device and resulting multijunction photovoltaic device

The method involves manufacturing an upper basic cell (4) from a material chosen among semiconductor materials III-V. A lower basic cell (5) is manufactured from a semiconductor material selected among group IV materials and alloys, where the lower basic cell has prohibited bandwidth lower than prohibited bandwidth of the upper basic cell. A hetero-epitaxy step of the lower basic cell is performed during which the lower basic cell is deposited on the upper basic cell by plasma-enhanced chemical vapor deposition. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a multi-junction photovoltaic device (2) a photovoltaic assembly.
