A solar cell, according to the present invention, comprises a semiconductor substrate containing impurities of a first conductive type; a rear electric field unit which is arranged on the back surface of the substrate and contains impurities of the first conductive type; and a first electrode connected to the rear electric field unit. The rear electric field unit includes a first intrinsic rear electric field layer which comes into contact with the back surface of the substrate and does not contain impurities; a second intrinsic rear electric field layer which comes into contact with the back surface of the first rear electric field layer and does not contain impurities; and a third rear electric field layer of the first conductive type which comes into contact with the back surface of the second rear electric field layer and contains relatively high concentration of impurities of the first conductive type compared to the substrate. The first rear electric field layer can be formed with the amorphous silicon, and the second rear electric field layer and the third rear electric field layer can be formed with amorphous silicon carbide. |
