Disclosed are methods and devices regarding adaptive control loop protection for fast and robust recovery from the low power states in high-speed serial I/O applications. In a few embodiments of the present invention, a first bit pattern commanding an indicative entry to a low power state by a second agent is detected in a first agent, and one or more control loops are frozen. After entering the low power state, a second bit pattern commanding the exit from the low power state by the second agent is detected, and at least one control loop is unfrozen. Other embodiments are also disclosed. |
