An embodiment of the present invention provides a yellow fluorescent material having high light emitting efficiency. The fluorescent material is expressed by chemical formula 1 ((M_1-xRE_x)_2yAl_zSi_10-zO_uN_wCl_alpha), wherein M is at least one element selected from the group consisting of Ba, Sr, Ca, Mg, Li, Na and K. When excited by light of 250 nm to 500 nm, the fluorescent material emits light having a peak of 500 nm to 600 nm. |
