<p>Provided is a liquid crystal display device which uses a polarizer protective film comprising a polyester film and which has excellent visibility. This liquid crystal display device has a backlight light source, and a liquid crystal cell disposed between two polarizing plates, wherein the backlight light source is a white light source having a continuous light emission spectrum, and the polarizing plates are configured by laminating a polarizer protective film on both sides of the polarizer. At least one of the polarizer protective films is a polyester film having a 3000-30000nm retardation, a 0.008-0.02mum center surface average roughness (SRa) of the outermost layer surface, and a 0.3-1.5mum ten-point average roughness (SRz).</p> |
