PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable determination of a bearing state by measurement data processing without setting a reference value by the measurement site and data accumulation for every operation condition. SOLUTION: The device 1 for monitoring the bearing state includes: an AE sensor 10 mounted on a bearing 3; a wave processing part 30; an amplitude distribution calculating part 32; a reference waveform generation part 33; and a determination part 22. The wave processing part 30 calculates a detection waveform by being subjected to the detection processing on a signal from the AE sensor 10. The amplitude distribution calculating part 32 calculates the amplitude distribution from the detection waveform. The reference waveform generation part 33 generates the reference waveform from the amplitude distribution.
