<p>A non-glasses type auto-stereoscopic image display device comprising a display panel made up of a plurality of sub-pixels and displays multi-view images in predetermined units. An optical plate array (such as a lenticular array or parallax barrier) is formed side by side (i.e. parallel) with the sub-pixels and divides the multi-view images into a plurality of multi-view areas. Each of the sub-pixels comprises a first colour sub-pixel, a second colour sub-pixel, and a third colour sub-pixel (such as red, green and blue) which alternate in the same row along a horizontal direction with gate lines (G1, G2 etc) extending along each row. The sub-pixels are also formed vertically side by side in different columns, with data lines (D1, D2 etc) extending along these columns. Vertically neighbouring sub-pixels displaying different colours partially overlap each other in the vertical direction (L1).</p> |
