According to various embodiments, a method is disclosed that includes receiving an orthogonal frequency-division multiplexing (OFDM) modulated signal at a modulator; filtering the received modulated signal using a plurality of sets of filter coefficients with a linear predictor algorithm; and estimating a channel frequency response based on the filtering.

1. A method comprising:
receiving an orthogonal frequency-division multiplexing (OFDM) modulated signal at a demodulator; determining if a current pilot carrier of a carrier frequency of the modulated signal and a plurality of past pilot carriers of the carrier frequency are uniformly spaced in time or have a temporal discontinuity, wherein one of a plurality of sets of filter coefficients corresponds to uniform temporal spacing between the current pilot carrier and the past pilot carriers, and the remaining sets of filter coefficients each correspond to one of a plurality of temporal discontinuities between the current pilot carrier and the past pilot carriers; responsive to said determining, filtering the received modulated signal using at least one of the plurality of sets of filter coefficients with a linear predictor algorithm; and estimating a channel frequency response based on the filtering.
