Method of treating second and third degree burns using oxidative reductive potential water solution

A method of treating burns, preferably second and third degree burns, by administration of an oxidative reduction potential (ORP) water solution that is stable for at least twenty-four hours is provided.

1. A method of treating a second or third degree burn in a patient, comprising: administering an oxidative reductive potential water solution to the patient in an amount sufficient to treat the burn,
wherein the solution has a pH of 7.4 to 7.6, wherein the solution is stable for at least two months, wherein the solution comprises anode water and cathode water, wherein the oxidative reductive potential water solution comprises free chlorine species at a level of from 50 ppm to 80 ppm, wherein the free chlorine species is selected from the group selected from the group consisting of hypochlorous acid, hypochlorite ions, sodium hypochlorite, chlorite ions, chloride ions, dissolved chlorine gas, and mixtures thereof, and wherein the free chlorine species comprises at least one of: hypochlorous acid in an amount of 15 ppm to 35 ppm and sodium hypochlorite in an amount of 25 ppm to 50 ppm.
