A method and an apparatus for processing advertisement in digital broadcasting are provided to offer services beneficial for both advertisement provider and user by enabling an effective product advertisement for advertisement provider and reducing cost of charged channels for user. When an advertisement broadcast is outputted, it is confirmed whether the advertisement processing information is included or not(S21). It is confirmed whether the cost for applying the advertisement processing information was paid or not(S23). If the advertisement processing information was not included or the cost for applying the advertisement processing information was not paid, a general advertisement broadcasting in which the advertisement processing information is not applied is outputted(S25). |
