PHASE DIFFERENCE FILM CONTAINING ADDITIVES FOR COMPENSATING PHASE DIFFERENCE

The present invention relates to a phase difference film containing phase difference compensating additives. As for the total weight, a cellulose ester film includes: 85-99 wt% of fatty acid cellulose esters; and 1-15 wt% of phase difference compensating additives represented by formula 1. Also, an aromatic group of a main chain in formula 1 of the phase difference compensating additives includes benzene, naphthalene, anthracene, and tetracene. And, the phase difference film has a surface direction phase difference (R_o) of 10-150 nm, a thickness direction phase difference (R_th) of 30-350 nm, and wavelength dispersion of 1 or less. The phase difference film containing phase difference compensating additives has great surface direction phase difference (R_o) and thickness direction phase difference (R_th), thereby having excellent optical properties. Furthermore, the phase difference film of the present invention has the wavelength dispersion of 1 or less, thereby having excellent mechanical properties (vapor permeability) and chemically resistant properties as well as reverse wavelength dispersion.
