According to the present invention, a reflective display device includes: a displaying part including fluid in which particles having charges are dispersed; an electric field application part including an electrode, which applies an electric field on the displaying part; and a controlling part which controls intensity, a direction, applying duration, applying time, and an applying cycle of voltages applied on the electric field application part so as to control colors displayed by the displaying part. The controlling part applies alternating current (AC) voltages in the opposite direction to the direction of driving voltages after applying the driving voltages for controlling the colors displayed by the displaying part. Thereby, the controlling part initializes a state of particle arrangement. |
