PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve optimum day-night mode switching irrespective of setting of dodging processing.SOLUTION: A digital camera 1a includes: an image data generating section 102 for generating image data of a subject image captured by an imaging section 101; an image data switching section 103 for switching output of the image data which the image data generating section 102 generates to color data or monochrome data; a dodging processing section 104 for performing dodging processing on the image data; a switching evaluation value calculating section 105 for calculating a switching evaluation value for switching the output of the image data; a switching determining section 106 for determining switching of the output of the image data in response to a result of comparison between the switching evaluation value and a switching threshold; and a switching threshold correcting section 107 for correcting the switching threshold. When the dodging processing by the dodging processing section 104 is effective, the switching threshold correcting section 107 corrects the switching threshold. |
