The present invention relates to a skin-whitening cosmetic composition and a skin-whitening health functional food containing an extract of a peach blossom calyx (Prunus persica calyx) as an active ingredient. According to the present invention, when a skin-whitening composition containing an extract of a peach blossom calyx is produced, a non-toxic peach blossom calyx does not have to be treated in a toxicity removing step. Accordingly, time and cost are reduced, and not only excellent skin-whitening activities but also melanin secretion controlling activities can be exhibited. |
