X-RAY IMAGING APPARATUS AND CONTROL METHOD FOR THE SAME

According to an aspect of the present invention, provided are an X-ray image device and a method for controlling the same. The device is capable of: estimating quantitative information on a subject using phase difference image signals corresponding to different types of multiple energy bands; and providing a user with the estimated information in various manners. According to an embodiment of the present invention, the X-ray image device which generates phase difference images comprises: an X-ray source for generating an X-ray to irradiate a subject; an X-ray detector for detecting the X-ray which penetrates the subject and acquiring phase different image signals of the subject for different types of multiple energy bands; and a quantitative information acquiring unit for calculating approximated quantitative information on a structure material using a relationship between the phase different image signal for each energy band and at least one structure material included in the subject, and repetitively applying a regularization function to the approximated quantitative information to estimate quantitative information of the structure material.
