PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for efficiently cooling a fire grate while restricting influence against an amount of air for a combustion chamber of a stoker type incinerator, and provide a cooling mechanism.SOLUTION: This invention relates to a method for cooling a fire grate of a stoker type incinerator in which combustion air fed into a combustion air chamber installed below a fire grate of the stoker type incinerator is taken from an inlet port of an air volume amplifying type air nozzle in the combustion air chamber into a pipe of the air nozzle, compressed air fed from an external side separate from the combustion air is supplied into the pipe of the air nozzle to accelerate an air flow of the combustion air in the pipe, the accelerated air flow is discharged from a discharging outlet port of the air nozzle toward a lower surface of the fire grate to cause staying air around the lower surface of the fire grate to be flowed and heat radiation at the lower surface of the fire grate is promoted to promote cooling at an upper surface of the fire grate. |
