PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique for reducing a band stripe when printing using a print head having a nozzle row to obtain a high quality printing image.SOLUTION: An effective nozzle row is re-selected for each time when the effective nozzle row for discharging ink discharges the ink the number of times set in advance. A main scan direction interval in which the effective nozzle row discharges the ink in a single scan is made to be an integer multiple of a resolution in a main scan direction of an image printed on a printing medium.
