PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new and improved modified reverse osmosis membrane capable of removing hardness components from raw water at a high total hardness removing ratio and a flux even under the same degree as the water pressure and water temperature of city water, a method for producing the modified reverse osmosis membrane and a water treatment method.SOLUTION: A modified reverse osmosis membrane includes: an oxidized reverse osmosis membrane produced by the oxidation treatment of a reverse osmosis membrane having an aromatic polyamide skeleton; and a water-soluble resin layer produced by the coating of a water-soluble resin having an acidic functional group on the oxidized reverse osmosis membrane.
