PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an underwater unit of an outboard motor, which not only enables effective installation of a sensor but also makes the outboard motor efficient.SOLUTION: A gear case 25 of an outboard motor is fitted with a propulsion unit and formed in a shell shape. A tip part of the shell shape is a detachable separate cone 1. The cone 1 is integrally molded from a synthetic resin material. A storage part 3 of an ultrasonic sensor 2 is provided within the cone.
