PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of constructing a dry well, which shortens time required for applying protective measures against wind and rain to efficiently construct modules for the dry well and bring the same into a reactor containment vessel, and to provide a method of building a reactor containment vessel using the same.SOLUTION: A method of constructing a dry well (upper dry well 26) of a reactor containment vessel 16 includes the steps of; placing a spray pipe 52 to be attached to a tabular top slab liner 30, which makes up an upper end of the dry well, at a predetermined location in an on-site assembling yard 64; placing the top slab liner 30 in the on-side assembling yard 64 and attaching the spray pipe 52 onto a lower surface of the top slab liner 30; and hoisting the top slab liner 30 together with the spray pipe 52 to mount the same at a position to be the top end of the dry well. |
