PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of preserving an alcoholic beverage for a long time which prevents deterioration of an alcoholic beverage due to oxidation while retaining flavor and a color tone.SOLUTION: A method of preserving an alcoholic beverage comprises preserving an alcoholic beverage in an oxygen-absorbing container using, partially or entirely, an oxygen-absorbing multilayer body which has an oxygen absorption layer containing an oxygen-absorbing composition and a thermoplastic resin layer containing a thermoplastic resin. The oxygen-absorbing composition comprises at least one compound having a tetralin ring of a specified structure, a transition metal catalyst and a thermoplastic resin.
