PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a semiconductor device which is hard to cause a read disturbance.SOLUTION: A semiconductor device includes: a storage element that can take a plurality of identifiable resistance states; a bias application unit that applies a bias signal to the storage element in a bias application period; and a determination unit that determines the resistance state of the storage element on the basis of a detection signal that is generated on the storage element to which the bias signal has been applied. The bias application unit sets the length of the bias application period according to the resistance value of the storage element in a case where the resistance state determined by the determination unit is one of the plurality of resistance states. |
