PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water heater that is useful to a user who sets a screen different from a standard screen as a standby screen.SOLUTION: A water heater includes an input device through which a user inputs commands, a display device which displays information, and a water heater body which performs operations associated with a water heating function. The display device is configured to allow the user to select a standby screen out of a plurality of kinds of screen, which include a standard screen and other screens. When the user sets a screen different from the standard screen as his or her standby screen, the standard screen is displayed during an operation if the operation based upon the water heating function that the user commands is completed in a short time, but when it takes a long time to complete the operation that the user commands, the standby screen is displayed during the operation of the water heating function while including a display element associated with the water heating function. |
