PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical film produced by use of a transfer process, which suppresses generation of fins upon transferring a pattern of a transfer layer that has high qualities.SOLUTION: A transfer film 20 is configured to include: a transfer layer having a multilayer structure comprising a half-wave plate 9 that imparts a phase difference corresponding to a half wavelength to transmitted light, a quarter-wave plate 8 that imparts a phase difference corresponding to a quarter wavelength to transmitted light, and alignment layers 11, 13 for aligning at least one of the half-wave plate 9 and the quarter-wave plate 8; and a support body 21 holding the transfer layer. At least the alignment layers 11, 19 contain fine particles.
