<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for treating radioactive Cs-contaminated water capable of inexpensively, highly efficiently and quickly absorbing and removing Cs ions and concurrently making a total cyan concentration of liquid after the treatment equal to or less than a dischargeable drainage criterion value, and to provide a radioactive Cs absorbent and a method for producing the same.SOLUTION: A method for treating radioactive Cs- contaminated water includes: a step (A) of acquiring a liquid containing Prussian blue analogue molecules and/or clusters of the molecules, the Prussian blue analogue being represented by M(I)Ma(II)[Fe(II)(CN)] (M(I) is a monovalent cation, x is 0 or 1, and Ma (II) is a divalent transition metal) and/or M(I)Mb(II)[Fe(III)(CN)] (Mb(II) is a divalent transition metal excluding iron); a step (B) causing the molecules or the clusters to adsorb Cs ions; and a step (C) of causing a processing liquid subjected to the step (B) to include a hydroxide having a hexagonal crystal structure and represented by Mc(II)(OH)(Mc(II) is a divalent transition metal).</p> |
