PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a communication device and a path switchover method, capable of reducing the probability of failure in band reservation of a reroute LSP at a start point node.SOLUTION: When communication devices (S1, S2) in an autonomous distribution control network are the start points of LSP (LSPa, LSPb), and if rerouting of the paths (LSPa, LSPb) becomes necessary, reroute is executing after the lapse of a random standby time having a set upper limit. This causes a random time difference between with band reservation at another LSP start point communication device, enabling the reduction of the possibility of failure in the LSP band reservation. |
