PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a separation method of an unvulcanized rubber composition for separating an unvulcanized rubber and a steel material in short time efficiently.SOLUTION: The unvulcanized rubber composition including at least the unvulcanized rubber and the steel material is agitated in a lubricant (except for a water glycol-based lubricant) of a waste oil of an engine oil or a transmission oil or in an edible oil under temperature of 0-100°C for 3-30 hours. The unvulcanized rubber composition is called an unvulcanized waste rubber in the business world, and includes waste matters such as a steel radial tire which is not produced as a product.
