PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable two video signals differing in encoding parameter to be encoded after achieving the downsizing of a device.SOLUTION: A video accumulation device according to an embodiment comprises a buffer, an encoder, a control unit, and a parameter setting unit. The buffer stores a first video signal and a second video signal. The encoder, designed to operate at a double speed which is an integral multiple of a reproduction speed needed for reproducing one frame of video, encodes output of this buffer using a set encoding parameter and outputs the encoded data to the accumulation unit. The control unit reads out and outputs the first video signal and the second video signal stored in the buffer alternately for each frame at the double speed. The parameter setting unit, provided in the encoder, acquires, and sets for the encoder, an encoding parameter corresponding to the first video signal when the first video signal is encoded by the encoder, and acquires, and sets for the encoder, an encoding parameter corresponding to the second video signal when the encoding of the first video signal terminates. |
