PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sound signal processing device, an acoustic device, a method for controlling the sound signal processing device, and a program capable of realizing stable power saving without affecting sound quality in auditory sensation.SOLUTION: A sound signal processing unit 12 provided in an acoustic device of the present invention comprises a reduction interval determination unit 21 for determining a reduction interval in which the amplitude of a sound signal is reduced from the amplitude envelope of the sound signal, and an amplitude control unit 22 for exerting amplitude reduction control on the reduction interval determined by the reduction interval determination unit 21. The reduction interval determination unit 21 determines, as the reduction interval, an interval defined, as a start point, by a point of time at which the amplitude value of the amplitude envelope fell from an amplitude value at a maximum point to or below a first prescribed value, and defined, as an end point, by a return time-constant after a point of time at which said value rose from the amplitude value at the maximum point to or below a second prescribed value. |
