PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sizing agent coated carbon fiber which is excellent in adhesiveness to a matrix resin, scratch resistance in high-order processing steps and step passability and a method of producing a sizing agent coated carbon fiber.SOLUTION: A sizing agent coated carbon fiber is produced by applying a sizing agent comprising at least an aliphatic glycidyl ether type epoxy compound (A) and a polyurethane compound (B) to a carbon fiber.
