PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an anode used for a cathode protection method capable, even in a case where the anode material is buried within a site unlikely to be infiltrated by rain water, of realizing desired protection effects without entailing the proliferation of electric power consumption by a protection current; and a method for using the anode.SOLUTION: The provided anode 1 is an anode 1 used for a cathode protection method for preventing corrosion by permeating a protection current through a metallic structure P buried underground G from an external DC power supply 3 via an anode material 2 buried underground G and is furnished with a wet state detection means 14 for detecting the water-wetted state on the periphery of the anode material 2; a method for using the anode 1 is also provided. |
