PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging apparatus and an imaging method capable of correcting streaking having horizontal shading.SOLUTION: The imaging apparatus includes: a photodiode array 2 composed of a plurality of pixels which are two-dimensionally arrayed; an image sensor 1 including a plurality of AD converters 5 capable of simultaneously and parallelly converting output signals generated by the plurality of pixels into digital signals; a horizontal/vertical driver 3 for reading out an image signal from the image sensor 1; a timing controller 4; a light source position detection part 32 for detecting a position of a pixel on which light of high luminance of a predetermined level or more is made incident; and a subtraction part 48 which applies gain correction to an AD conversion value of a pixel signal arranged on a column determined as a column on which light of high luminance of the predetermined level or more is made incident on the basis of a gain value corresponding to a distance from the position of the pixel on which light of high luminance of the predetermined level or more is made incident. |
