PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a production method capable of producing a hydroxyapatite porous body having high porosity in a small number of steps.SOLUTION: A production method of a hydroxyapatite porous body comprises the steps of: preparing a slurry or pasty mixture comprising raw material particles containing tricalcium phosphate particles, and a solvent; arranging the mixture into a recess formed in a mold 2, thereby forming a compact in the recess; and subjecting the compact to steam treatment in a gas phase.
