PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a DC voltage conversion circuit for suppressing a surge voltage by minimizing the loss power of a snubber capacitor.SOLUTION: The DC voltage conversion circuit is provided with a DC power supply 1 and a series circuit connected in series to a switching element 3 connected via a reactor 2 and comprising a diode 4 and a load 6, and converts an input voltage sourced by the DC power supply 1 into an output voltage of a prescribed magnitude by the operation of the switching element 3 and supplies the converted voltage to the load 6. The DC voltage conversion circuit is provided with a series circuit comprising a snubber capacitor 103 and a snubber diode 101 connected to opposite ends of the diode 4, and provided with a charging circuit (series circuit of a DC power supply 104 and a diode 102) for charging the snubber capacitor 103 to a voltage lower than the input voltage or output voltage. The charging loss of the snubber capacitor 103 is thereby minimized to prevent a reduction in efficiency, and a surge voltage caused by a parasitic inductance A is suppressed to protect the switching element 3. |
