PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sludge combustion apparatus which can efficiently reduce the generation amount of nitrogen oxides generated by combustion of dewatered sludge by using a circulation type combustion method where combustion is performed while circulating a fluid medium.SOLUTION: A sludge combustion apparatus 100 includes: a dewatering part which dewaters sludge mixed with an iron-based inorganic coagulant to produce dewatered sludge; a combustion part 11 which burns the dewatered sludge together with a fluid medium in a reduction state to produce a product comprising combustion gas, solid combustion products, unburned material, and the fluid medium; a circulation part 12 which recovers the fluid medium from the product and supplies the fluid medium to the combustion part 11; and sludge supply means 13 which supplies the dewatered sludge to the combustion part 11. |
