RIVET, DIFFERENT MEMBER CONNECTING STRUCTURE WITH RIVET AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING DIFFERENT MEMBER CONNECTING BODY

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To connect different members while restricting generation of intermetallic compound and softening the first member.SOLUTION: A rivet 1 is caulked to the first member 3 and spot welded to the second member 5 so as to connect the first member 3 with the second member 5. The first member 3 is made of aluminum alloy, the rivet 1 and the second member 5 are made of steel. A melting point of steel constituting the rivet 1 and the second member 5 is higher than a melting point of aluminum alloy constituting the first member 3. The rivet 1 is constituted by a head part 11 and a shank part 13 extending from the bottom surface of the head part 11. The upper surface of the plate-like head part 11 is formed with a head padded part 11a and at the same time the extremity end of the shank part 13 is formed with a shank end padded part 13a. Orthographic projections of the head part padded part 11a seen from an axial direction of the shank part 13 and the shank extremity end padded part 13a are overlapped to each other at the center of the orthographic projection and at the same time the entire unit is positioned in the orthographic projection of the shank part 13.
