LIGNIN DECOMPOSITION METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for decomposing a lignin efficiently in short time easily in a treatment process of paper making and paper pulp making or in a preliminary treatment of bioethanol formation from woody biomass.SOLUTION: The method is characterized in that microbubble of ozone gas is supplied into a liquid in which a lignin is dissolved or dispersed, and then the lignin is decomposed at liquid temperature of 30°C or more and less than 100°C. The method has improved lignin decomposition performance compared with a case that decomposing at room temperature.
