A method of managing shoes using a mobile robot and the robot therefor are disclosed. The shoe management method of the mobile robot according to an aspect of the present invention includes: a step of recognizing an entering person and the shoes and generating recognition information; a step of collecting the shoes of the entering person; a step of arranging the collected shoes in an empty space after moving to a shoe storage place with the collected shoes and checking the empty space; and a step of mapping the recognition information of the entering person, the recognition information of the shoes, and location information of the arranged shoes and storing a matched result in a mapping table.
