TRANSMITTER FOR PROVIDING AN UNIFORM EFFECTIVE BEAM WIDTH WITHIN THE EFFECTIVE PROPAGATION RANGE

The present invention relates to a transmitter for emitting a beam with a uniform effective beam width. The transmitter comprises: a light source; a lens to propagate the beam of the light source in parallel; and a beam former for forming and outputting the beam with the uniform effective beam width up to an effective propagation distance which is set in advance, by diffusing the beam provided through the lens. The beam former includes a first diffusion sheet formed with a first penetration hole in the center; a second diffusion sheet formed with a second penetration hole in the center; and a block sheet formed with a third penetration hole in the center, wherein the center of the first diffusion sheet, the second diffusion sheet, and the third diffusion sheet is arranged to be aligned with an optical axis of the incident beam. The first penetration hole, the second penetration hole, and the third penetration hole are formed in different diameters and the diameters are determined depending on the effective propagation distance and the effective beam width.
