PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a continuously variable transmission which not only adjusts a gear change ratio but also supports a start of a traveling drive source by using an adjusting drive source.SOLUTION: A differential mechanism 8 of a continuously variable transmission comprises: a second connecting body Ra-RC connected to a cam shaft 51 to which a drive force from a traveling drive source 90 is transmitted; a sun gear Sa (first element) to which a drive force of an adjusting drive source 14 is transmitted; and a carrier Cc (eighth element) connected to a pinion 70 which adjusts a gear change ratio of the continuously variable transmission. A switching mechanism 81 can switch a first state that a sun gear Sc (fourth element) is non-rotatable and a first connecting body Ca-Cb is rotatable, and a second state that the first connecting body Ca-Cb is non-rotatable and the sun gear Sc is rotatable. |
