PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently obtain a light transport matrix used for projection mapping.SOLUTION: The space projection device is configured to calculate a light transport matrix from an observation image resulting from observing an illumination pattern projected from a projector of 2×2((n) is a natural number) pixels by means of a camera. The space projection device comprises: means for dividing the pixels of the projector into blocks (j) of 2×2pieces of layers (i) ((i) is an integer equal to or greater than 1 and equal to or smaller than (n) and (j) is an integer equal to or greater than 1 and equal to or smaller than 4) having a block size of 2×2, generating 4 (n-1) pieces of illumination patterns so as to include four kinds of blocks of a layer (i-1) one by one in each block of the layer (i), and projecting the illumination patterns in order from a layer 1; and means for calculating the light transport matrix by determining pixels of the projector corresponding to pixels of the camera while using a decode table which is generated by specifying a corresponding response pixel for each of the pixels of the camera from a background differential in 4 (n-1) pieces of observation images. |
