PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To restart an apparatus even when a fault of autonomous restart exists in firmware of the apparatus.SOLUTION: A management server 1 previously receives restart schedule time from a GW apparatus 3, and when notification of a restart result is not received from the GW apparatus 3 even when the restart schedule time has elapsed, instructs forced restart to the GW apparatus 3. Thereby, even when the autonomous restart is not executed due to a failure of FW, the GW apparatus 3 can be restarted. When notification of a connection result to a service providing server 5 is not received from the GW apparatus 3 after switching to new FW, an instruction for returning the new FW to the old FW and executing restart is outputted to the GW apparatus 3. Consequently even when connection to the service providing server 5 is impossible due to the failure of the new FW, the GW apparatus 3 can be connected to the service providing server 5 by returning the new FW to the old FW and restarting the GW apparatus 3. |
