PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compound with a paracyclophane skeleton, with which a hue and density of color development can be precisely controlled, and compounds with a variety of structures can be synthesized by increasing a degree of freedom in molecular design and synthesis.SOLUTION: A compound with a paracyclophane skeleton has a paracyclophane skeleton in which two benzene rings are connected with each other via crosslinking groups between para-positions, and is represented by general formula (provided that at least one of R1, R2, R3, and R4 is a predetermined imidazolyl group and each of the rest can be a formyl group or a crosslinking group; each of Xand Xis a 2-4C carbon chain, a silicon chain, a siloxane, or a monoether chain; each of substituents R, R, R, and Ris a functional group, or an alkyl group substituted with a functional group, or an unsubstituted alkyl group; each of m and n is 0, 1, or 2; and each of o and p is an integer of 0-5). |
