PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a spin injection magnetization reversal element of stabilized magnetization reversal operation, by applying a Gd-Fe alloy having perpendicular magnetic anisotropy and a small coercive force to a magnetization fixed layer.SOLUTION: A spin injection magnetization reversal element 5 is formed by laminating a magnetization fixed layer 3, an intermediate layer 2, and a magnetization free layer 1, where the magnetization fixed layer 3 includes a GdFe/Gd multilayer film 30 formed by laminating a GdFe layer 31 and a Gd film 32 alternately. The magnetization fixed layer 3 increases the coercive force, when compared with a Gd-Fe alloy unit, by laminating the GdFe layer 31 repeatedly while sandwiching the Gd film 32 and limiting the thickness of the single layer, thereby intensifying the influence of Gd while exhibiting perpendicular magnetic anisotropy as a ferrimagnetic material. |
