PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus or an image forming method capable of reducing consumption of toner used for forming an image by using a multiplexing image forming unit of the same color as that of one of a plurality of image forming units.SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus comprises the plurality of image forming units which form a toner image on a photoreceptor drum using toner supplied from a toner bottle, transfer the formed toner image to a recording medium, and form an image on a surface of the recording medium. The plurality of image forming units correspond to each color of the image to be formed. The image forming apparatus further comprises the multiplexing image forming unit of the same color as that of one of the plurality of image forming units. The multiplexing image forming unit forms an image on the surface of the recording medium on the basis of quality or a kind of the image to be formed, or other image forming methods. |
