PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing an inorganic-organic composite compound containing an inorganic oxide and polyvinyl alcohol as main components, where, unlike the prior art, an unnecessary salt can be easily separated and removed in a liquid raw material stage because the salt is a solid, making it unnecessary to remove the unnecessary salt after the compound is molded and to perform a neutralization operation.SOLUTION: The inorganic-organic composite compound is produced by, in a state where an inorganic or an inorganic oxide salt 2 and an organic polymer containing at least polyvinyl alcohol 3 coexist in a solvent 1 including water, contacting and neutralizing the inorganic salt or the inorganic oxide salt with a solid acid which can dissociate protons or a solid alkali which can dissociate hydroxide ions. |
