PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hydrogenation purification method for vacuum gas oil which exerts a high desulfurization activity and a high denitrification activity.SOLUTION: In a hydrogenation purification method for vacuum gas oil, titanium is caused to be supported in an alumina-containing refractory inorganic oxide in a content of 0.5-15 mass%, in terms of titania to the refractory inorganic oxide by the sol-gel method, with a titanium alkoxide dissolved in an organic solvent as a raw material, and then subjecting to a dry step and/or a calcination step, and an active metal consisting of molybdenum, cobalt and nickel is caused to be supported in the support, and sulfur and nitrogen in the vacuum gas oil are removed in a hydrogen gas flow by using the catalyst. |
