摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for ascertaining topography deviations of a dressing tool.SOLUTION: A method according to the present invention comprises: a) relatively moving a dressing tool in relation to a grinding tool to transfer a contour region of the dressing tool to a transfer region of the grinding tool; b) providing a plunging body made up of material which can be ground in the grinding machine; c) moving the transfer region of the grinding tool into the vicinity of the plunging body; d) rotating the grinding tool about the grinding tool axis of rotation; e) plunging the transfer region of the grinding tool into the material of the plunging body to transfer the topography of the transfer region to an imaging region of the plunging body; f) carrying out a scanning movement of the topography in the imaging region of the plunging body by using a coordinate scanning sensor; and g) computationally ascertaining an item capable of describing the actual surface geometry of the dressing tool.
